The thatched cottage is located on the small Pälitzsee lake on the Rheinsberg chain of lakes, which connects to the Mecklenburg lake district. The house is located in a wooded area of approx. 25 square meters and is called "Bertha".

Bertha got a new coat of paint on the outside at Easter 2024. The terrace was partially renewed and a new lounge with 2 armchairs found its place. The sofa was already moved into in 2021, and the bathroom and kitchen have new windows. New Senseo coffee machine. In addition, the bathroom has been renovated and underfloor heating ensures a cozy feeling on the feet.

100 meters from the hut is the small Pälitzsee, here you can enjoy your free time on the lawn, bathing area and the jetty. This area is not open to the public but belongs exclusively to the guests of the Finnhäuser. Small boats, kayaks, canoes etc. can be moored here. Motorboats can moor at the jetty by prior arrangement.

The area is ideal for nature lovers such as hikers, water sports enthusiasts, bikers and anglers. Anglers require a valid annual fishing license and can buy a fishing permit from the fisherman in Canow.
